STAAR Alternate 2 Released Tests
TEA releases two types of test questions for the STAAR Alternate 2 program—sample questions and test forms. Sample test questions are small subsets of test questions released from the STAAR Alternate 2 test banks. These test questions may have been previously administered. A test form is a set of released test questions previously administered together to Texas students which reflects the STAAR Alternate 2 test blueprints.
The STAAR Alternate 2 released tests include a test administrator manual and a student booklet for each subject/grade or course. Each test administrator manual includes scripted questions, guidelines for presentation of the test stimulus, and scoring information. The corresponding student booklet contains test stimulus images and text that is required in order for the student to select answers.
