SY2023-2024 Bus Collision Reporting
In accordance with Texas Education Code, Section §34.015, school districts must report collisions in which district buses are involved to the agency on an annual basis. In responding to the survey, local educational agencies (LEAs) must provide the following information for each collision:
- Type of bus involved
- Number of students and adults involved in the collision
- Number and types of injuries that were sustained by bus passengers
- Whether injured passengers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident and, if so, the type
The survey is open for reporting from today, Thursday, June 27, 2024, until Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. A PDF of the survey questions is available for review.
If your LEA does not provide bus service or if no collisions occurred during the school year, please choose the appropriate response, and you will be redirected to the end of the survey.
