Study of Strategic State Performance Alignment

TEA has contracted with Gibson Consulting Group and its research partner American Institutes for Research to conduct a study of strategic state performance alignment for special education. As part of this project, we are gathering input from various stakeholder groups related to the alignment of special education activities and initiatives, with a focus on how alignment can be improved to better serve local educational agencies (LEAs), schools, and special education students across the state of Texas. 

LEA special education directors will receive an email on January 20, 2022, from Gibson Consulting Group with a link to an electronic survey. This survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Responses to survey questions are due January 28, 2022, and will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.

This statewide survey of special education directors is a critical part of this data collection and analysis effort.

We are asking you to support this effort by participating and/or allowing staff to complete the survey when contacted by Gibson Consulting Group.
