ADOPTED RULE REVIEWS

Adopted Review of 19 TAC Chapter 66, State Adoption and Distribution of Instructional Materials, Subchapter A, General Provisions; Subchapter B, State Adoption of Instructional Materials; and Subchapter C, Local Operations
Summary: Relating to the review of Chapter 66, Subchapters A-C, the SBOE finds that the reasons for adopting these subchapters continue to exist and readopts the rules. Existing rules in Chapter 66, Subchapters A-C, will continue to apply to instructional materials adopted under Proclamation 2024 and before. At its February 2, 2024 meeting, the SBOE approved for second reading and final adoption new rules to begin implementing the changes made by HB 1605, and the new rules would apply to all future calls for instructional materials. The SBOE received no comments on the review.
