What to know about the 2018 A-F ratings

On Aug. 15, the Texas Education Agency released academic accountability ratings for districts, charters and campuses across the state. And for the first time, ratings for school districts and district charters are on an A-F scale.

For this blog, I ask that you take a few minutes to listen to our new TEA Time podcast. This podcast is designed to provide information on TEA projects, initiatives, programs and specific public education issues.

I think you may find some of the results from the first use of A-F surprising. To hear what I noted from this year’s ratings, listen to the latest episode of TEA Time.

The TEA Time podcast is among the available tools created by TEA to help parents and community members learn about the A-F system. Videos, podcast episodes and other A-F resources are posted at https://tea.texas.gov/A-F.
