The Texas Education Agency (TEA) invites districts to participate in the innovative, evidence-based Factors Influencing Teaching (FIT) Choice Survey. This survey is designed for all individuals in Texas currently in or interested in the teaching profession, especially students enrolled in education and training courses at the high school level and/or students interested in pursuing teaching as a career. The survey asks respondents to share their motivations for choosing teaching and their beliefs about teaching. Responses are voluntary and confidential, and identifying information is only used to match presurvey and postsurvey responses. Individuals are highly encouraged to respond to the survey each time it opens in the fall and spring, as we are tracking responses over time. All survey responses will add to a growing body of cutting-edge research and will better inform how the TEA supports Grow Your Own grant recipients and provides resources to high school education and training programs throughout Texas. All input, positive or negative, is extremely valuable, so we thank you in advance for taking time to contribute to this important work. Who should respond to this survey?
Fall Survey Window: September 1—October 1, 2019 Additionally, TEA has applied previous survey data to develop effective tools that inform students about education and training courses at the high school level and encourage enrollment.
Sincerely, Megan Aghazadian |
