TEA releases 2017-2018 Texas Academic Performance Report
AUSTIN – The Texas Education Agency (TEA) today released the 2017–2018 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).
TAPR pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. The scope and function of this year’s TAPR has been greatly expanded and for the first time will be available in two forms:
- An online data system which is more comprehensive and dynamic than in previous years.
- A PDF version which includes only major, statutorily-required data points and is designed to allow districts to fulfill their public notification requirements.
TAPR will again feature performance data shown by student groups (including race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status). However, the online data system will provide extensive additional information on college, career, and military readiness indicators, as well as school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.
The TAPR Glossary contains definitions and methodologies for all items found in the TAPR, and the TAPR Guidelines are intended to help districts fulfill their legal responsibilities regarding the TAPR and annual report of their educational performance.
New data will be added or updated to the online TAPR system as it becomes available. New data additions will be announced via the Performance Reporting weekly bulletin. To sign up for the Performance Reporting weekly bulletin, visit public.govdelivery.com/accounts/TXTEA/subscriber/new.
