Withdrawal of Proposed Revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 61, School Districts, Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning School Facilities
Summary: The proposed revisions would have removed an obsolete rule, provided an end date for the current school facilities standards rule, and created a new rule to implement the safety standards required by Senate Bill 11, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019. By the end of 2020, TEA intends to propose revisions to the school facilities standards that incorporate additional stakeholder feedback.

Withdrawal of Proposed New 19 TAC Chapter 103, Health and Safety, Subchapter EE, Safe and Supportive School Program and Trauma-Informed Care Policy and Training
Summary: The proposed new subchapter would have implemented Senate Bill 11, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019, by establishing rules for the safe and supportive school program (SSSP) and trauma-informed care. In seeking to better align the SSSP and trauma-informed care policy and training rules with other agency strategic priorities, Texas Education Agency has withdrawn the proposed version of the rules and will repropose them at a future date.

Withdrawal of Proposed Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 152, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Examination Requirements, §152.1001, Exceptions to Examination Requirements for Individuals Certified Outside the State
Summary: The Texas Education Agency withdrew an amendment to §152.1001, concerning exceptions to examination requirements for individuals certified outside the state, that was published as proposed in the November 6, 2020 issue of the Texas Register (45 TexReg 7931). A proposed amendment to §152.1001 that replaces the withdrawn version may be found in the Proposed Rules section of the January 1, 2021 issue of the Texas Register.
